We are gearing up for our second Art Happy Hour with artists David G. Smith and Roy Vance.  Make sure to stop by this coming Thursday, July 29th, to see almost two dozen new pieces from these two.  Roy dropped his work off today and it is shaping up to be a great show!

Sorry for the lack of updates!  It has been crazy busy, both personally and at the gallery.  I need to get back into the habit of posting on the blog regularly, as well as keeping everyone updated on Facebook and Twitter.  So expect regular updates soon.

Here are some recent shots from the gallery.  Remember, our customer appreciation sale runs through July!

“Multi-Media” is a small group show featuring metal work by Clayton Lee Bailey, photography by Deborah Scott Lightfoot and mixed media and acrylic works on canvas by Jim Frederick. There is no group theme for the exhibition, with each artist having selected their own theme to work with. From Jim’s bold abstractions, Deborah’s gorgeous shots of Dallas, and Clayton’s welded and oh-so-cool iron sculptures, there will be something for everyone! So please join us on August 6, from 6pm to 9pm, for the opening reception of “Multi-Media.”

This exhibit is to give vision and voice to the experiences of all those affected by breast cancer. The mission of this exhibit is to bring awareness of breast cancer and how it affects survivors, patients, families and friends who have stories to share. It is to increase community awareness and healing through art.
This exhibition is a celebration of strength, courage, fragility and feeling expressed through painting, collage, sculpture, dance, storytelling, film/video and song.
The “Dance of Life” will have an auction of embellished bras that will be exhibited alongside works of art at the opening reception. We are organizing multiple events centered around the event.  If you or your organization in the DFW area would like to set up a workshop to create embellished bras, I’ll be glad to attend and help get it going.
Everyone is invited to participate in this event. All entries are donated for the Auction. All entries will be exhibited and Auctioned and there are no returns.
Funds raised will go to a local cancer research/recovery facility.

I just took a few pics this evening of our boutique – let me know what you think.  The plastic chandelier is a bit tacky but in a good way, right?  The jewelry on display is made by Sally Everett of Sally’s Designs, Katrina Rogers and Uncommon Ground artist Debbie Carroll.
