Make sure you stop by and check out the newest artist on display at the gallery, Deanna Wilson.  Her abstracts are incredible, you could almost get lost looking into one of them.  Check out her bio and a couple shots of her work below.

Bio

Deanna grew up in Utah surrounded by the beauty and splendor of the mountains as well as the vastness and starkness of the desert. The influences of her environs prove vital as color, depth, and line emerge in each painting and speak to this strong and elusive presence.

Deanna began painting seriously in the early ‘80s, first with more traditional imagery, and now allowing emotion to translate into art in a more abstract manner arriving at the essences of concept. Deanna moved to Dallas from Salt Lake City, Utah  in 1977 and married in 1978. She returned to school after her children were out of elementary school and graduated from UTD in 1994 with a BA in American Studies. Deanna has lived in Plano, Texas since 1980. She has served on the Plano Cultural Arts Center board twice since that time, and was the editor/publisher of their first newsletter.

We are gearing up for our second Art Happy Hour with artists David G. Smith and Roy Vance.  Make sure to stop by this coming Thursday, July 29th, to see almost two dozen new pieces from these two.  Roy dropped his work off today and it is shaping up to be a great show!
